Vibert Murdock 
Age: 44
Date first become a member: May 1977
Role: Centre manager.
Vibert has until more recently been a PE Teacher in secondary education.  His involvement in the Club has been on going for the past 30 years.  Over the years Springfield has had an ethos of growing its own staff.  So as he became older he slowly graduated to become a junior leader, senior leader and management committee member.  He is still dedicated to the club and would like to be part of the changes that are about to take place.

Stephen Herbert                  
Age: 40
Date first become a member: Feb 1980
Role:  Vice Chairman, Club leader/Member of management committee
Steve is the manager of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympics Schools at the Heart programme. He has delivered various projects in the past in his full time role as project manager. Stephen’s dedication to Springfield has led to him being responsible for implementing the Jack Petchey awards scheme, various funding sources, like the Variety Club of Great Britain and more recently the Stuart Feakins Trust. Stephen has arranged various events in the Club and outside within the wider community, his links to external sources have always led to benefits for Springfield.

Ian Marsh                  
Age: 40
Date first become a member: April 1980
Role:  Senior Club leader/Member of management committee.
Ian works as a Media executive and has been for the past 15 years.  Like Most of the voluntary staff members, Ian is a product of the Springfield ethos and has been making a contribution ever since.  There have been a few gaps over the 20 year period that Ian has been involved.  But he remains as a senior leader and member of the management committee.

Nadine Pownall                 
Age: 31
Date first become a member: June 1990
Role:  Senior Club leader/Project manager.
Nadine is about to embark upon a career in Education. She is responsible for coordinating Holiday projects and residential weekends. Her success in bid writing is unrivalled currently and she has been the cornerstone for Springfield being successful with the Youth Opportunity Fund. Nadine has been involved since she was a teenager and fulfilled various roles during this time.

Said Hersi                  
Age:45
Date first become a member: Sept 1974
Role: Member of management committee/Line manages senior staff
Said is currently a project manager within the City of London. He has come back more recently after a period of around 15 years where he was focused on a career that is currently very successful. Like many of Springfield’s staff members he grew up in the local area and benefitted from being involved with the Club. Said decided back in 2006 that he wanted to put something back into the Club after attending our ‘Bun Fight’. To date with his help he has refurbished our IT suite and also commits himself and his family to Summer Camps and residential weekends away.

Jamie Claridge                  
Age: 45
Date first become a member: Sept 1973 (Got found out and had to rejoin a year later).
Role: Senior leader
Jamie is currently a mechanic working for Mercedes Benz, he has working within that field since leaving school at the age of 17. Jamie like many before him attempted to join the Club a year early, when he was still 9 years old. (Minimum age is 10), this was due to an older brother already involved. He was caught and had to wait another year. Since 1974, he has always been involved in some capacity. To date he has only missed three Summer camps since the late 70s.

David Telesford                  
Age:36
Date first become a member: Sept 1983
Role: Senior leader/Football coach
David first became a member in the early eighties, he was typical like many others that got involved. No real experience of life outside of the inner city. Over the years David has been steadfast in his commitment to Springfield. He has represented the Club as a boy in various sports and had success in Football, Athletics, Cricket and Cross country. He has recently been involved in training with London Youth and the Football Association. David has always run the Club on a Monday night. This went on for 12 years until he decided to take on coaching the Under 16s football team last season.
